498 Familyam grew out of our family kitchen, where guests kept asking where our honey and tea came from. Today we pack the same things for homes across India, in small batches, the way we always have.

Why we keep the range short
We sell three things: honey, tea and cookies. Each is something our family uses every day, and each is easy to get wrong when it is made at factory scale.
Most honey on supermarket shelves is heated and filtered so it stays runny forever. Most packaged tea is dust blended for cost. We wanted the honey our grandparents bought from the beekeeper, and the chai that tastes the same every morning.
So we buy directly, check every batch ourselves and pack only what we can sell fresh. It means we sometimes run out. We think that is the right trade.
What we promise

Nothing added
No sugar syrups in our honey, no artificial colour or flavour in our tea, no preservatives in our cookies.
Raw means raw
Honey is only strained through a fine mesh. It is never heated or ultra-filtered, so it keeps its natural pollen.

Honey is tested for moisture and tea is tasted before packing. Every pack is sealed and batch-coded.
Fair to growers
We buy directly from beekeepers and through garden auctions, and we pay on time.
Packed fresh
We pack in small batches every week, so what reaches you has not sat in a warehouse for months.
